Location

This short term accommodation affords an enviable location close to a wealth of interesting attractions, providing a vast and varied list for the day and evening’s entertainment. Firstly, the apartment resides in the peaceful Museum Quarter, home to a green expanse lined with some of the most popular and most respected museums in Amsterdam. The breathtaking Rijksmuseum with its incredible collection of Dutch Masterpieces commands the entrance to the square, which also includes the Van Gogh, Diamond and Stedelijk Museum. During the summer months, Museumplein often hosts impressive public events and live musical performances, and as the temperatures begin to drop, the pond is transformed into a picturesque ice skating rink, attracting crowds of visitors.

Also within the apartment’s vicinity is the exclusive shopping avenue of P.C. Hooftstraat, the vibrant Pijp district offering an eclectic nightlife scene, Amsterdam’s beloved Vondelpark, which welcomes over ten million visitors a year, and one of the top tourist hotspots, the Heineken Experience. The former brewery has been replaced by a fascinating and thoroughly pleasurable museum, illustrating everything you need to know about the production of Holland’s legendary Heineken beer. This indoor, interactive experience provides hours of fun and at the end of the tour you will be rewarded with a freshly brewed pint or two.

The stay is splendid. Everything was pleasant except for the stairs. To be precise :- 7 times in total in the late afternoon on a daily basis for 7 days when we were back home climbing the 70 plus steps till the 4th floor. Please note that it is a structural issue and for those who do not mind the steps, this is a great stay.
