This fabulous one-bedroom apartment is a perfect choice for up to two travelers looking for a top location in Amsterdam and functionality blended with a stylish setting.
Though quite compact in size, this charming place boasts a great level of convenience and offers an unmatched balance between tradition and modernity, granting you the best of both worlds in the scope of both style and functionality.
The classy and bright daily area offers a flexible, multi-function environment, featuring a stylish lounge corner in the form of a chic coffee table, a pair of chairs and a flatscreen TV set supported by a capacious traditional storage unit, while the further section of this part of the apartment functions as a dining-kitchen area, complete with a dining table, a set of chairs and a richly-supplied kitchen annex to make you able to use your culinary skills the way you want to.
Further inside a cosy and atmospheric bedroom awaits you. It comes furnished with a big and comfortable double bed and some bedside items to make it more functional. This lovely place comprises also a separate bathroom including a shower, sink and toilet.
Important Information: The stairs are fairly steep, this could make it difficult for elderly, small children and those travelling with large suitcases.
The apartment offers you to explore the city of Amsterdam starting from one of its most exciting locations – the extraordinary district of the Jordaan. This neighborhood is the essence of multiculturalism of the Venice of the North, boasting an amazing variety of art galleries, unique boutiques, diverse restaurants and bars, as well as plenty of charming courtyards and fine examples of local architecture. A great instance of the latter can be found right next to your location – we’re talking about Westerkerk with its high spire (85 metres!), which neighbors another notable sight – the Anne Frank House, a place of great historical importance, where you can discover the intriguing memories of one of the most well-known victims of the Holocaust.
Some more leisurely attractions, in turn, await you in the nearby Houseboat Museum, explaining the strong connection of the Dutch to the water; and if you wish to feel like a modern-day ‘rafter’, go with a rented pedal boat and explore the vicinities in a different way. Still, many exciting spots await you on land, so we recommend a stroll either to the east – to reach the city center with the magnificent Oude Kerk or the tranquil Begijnhof, or to the south-west – to get to the Mecca of the city’s modern cultural life – the vivid Museumplein featuring places like Stedelijksmuseum, Rijksmuseum or House of Bols, or the picturesque Vondelpark found a bit to the west, where you can enjoy some true peace and quiet in the heart of this contemporary metropolis.
