This cozy studio is a great place to call home on your next trip to Amsterdam. Located just minutes from the central station, you won’t have any trouble getting to and from anywhere in the region. You’re also a few minutes’ walk from the culturally rich Old Center and the vibrant Red Light District.
The comfortable living area is well lit by elegant fixtures. At ground level, you’ll find a dining area and a convertible sofa that sleeps two guests. The Harbour Loft Studios are located in a separate building adjacent to the small courtyard at the back of the main building. This building can only be reached through the main building and the courtyard, and this route includes 1 flight of stairs to the lower ground level.
If you’re arriving from the airport or by train, you’ll most likely enter the city through Amsterdam Central Station. No need to study a transit map or hail a cab, because this apartment is less than ten minutes’ walk from the station. Located in the vibrant Nieuwmarkt neighborhood, this highly central studio gives you immediate access to all that the Old Center has to offer. Walk a few blocks and you’ll be ensconced in the infamous Red Light District, Look above the red-curtained windows and you’ll see dozens of architectural masterpieces spanning centuries and representing the plethora of cultures that call this city home.
To stimulate your mind, head down the pier from your apartment to the NEMO science center. This five-floor, hands-on science museum is one of the country’s most-visited museums and it’s sure to please visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Also nearby is the Scheepvaartmuseum, or the National Maritime Museum, which includes thousands of articles from the early days of sea exploration. There’s no more appropriate place for a museum like this, among the canals and ships of Amsterdam’s Old Center.
