Contemporary one bedroom apartment sleeps two people in the quiet Dapperbuurt area close to Artis Zoo, Tropen Museum and short distance from the Old South District and central station.
The Eastern Park Apartment Suite 9 is a very trendy Amsterdam accommodation and if you appreciate quality and style then you’ll love staying here. It is located on the fourth floor with a real cosy attic setting but with lots of light coming in through the many windows which makes it feel very fresh and airy. The whole apartment has elegant dark wooden flooring, white walls and modern grey furniture. There is a funky contemporary sofa with an equally stylish round coffee table which is overlooked by a large window. To the right of the sofa are stairs that lead to the incredibly cool double bedroom which overlooks the living area. To the left of the sofa is small dining table with two white swivel chairs from where you can enjoy the top floor view through the window in front of you. A modern grey kitchen comes fully equipped for all your cooking needs. The trendy bathroom has small black and white tiles on the walls and both a bathtub and glass shower unit.
The Dapperbuurt is located just outside of the scenic Canal Belt but has some great attractions such as Oosterpark, Tropen Museum, Dapper Market and the nearby Artis Zoo and Botanical Gardens. West of the area is the vibrant De Pijp area, which you can reach in 15 minutes via tram 3, where you can enjoy dining in one of the many restaurants that offer a multicultural menu including food from Morocco and Suriname. This is also a great area for night life because it has a number of trendy bars and a real lively atmosphere. In the Old South area is also the Museum Quarter where you can visit museums such as the Van Gogh and Stedelijk. Head north of the apartment via the Sprinter train from Muiderpoort station and within minutes you will be at central station from where you can jump on a canal boat tour, visit the Red Light District and China Town or wander down Damrak for souvenir shops and to reach the busy Dam Square which is home to the National Monument, Royal Palace and the New Church.
All I can say is be prepared for the 68 almost vertical stairs to the top floor but also don't be phased by them - it is definitely worth the climb when opening your door at the top and entering the amazing, clean, well styled apartment which I will be returning to for many times in the future!! Also as a warning don't fry sausages or you will set off the fire alarm and the fire brigade will turn up at your door! Ooops!Sam - Date: 14:57 12-04-2015 Source: AmsterdamApartments.com
